The Wessex Philatelic Federation is the lead body at national level for all Stamp Clubs and Philatelic Societies in the Wessex Area.
Wessex Philatelic Federation helps and supports member clubs to promote philately in the region and runs competitions and exhibitions. The Federation also aids and promotes the setting up of new clubs within the region.
So, if you’re interested in stamp collecting, philately or postal history, come along to view the displays from the Wessex Federation. The history of stamps and postal history reflects the history of the country concerned, making it very relevant to how we live today.
The study of philately can be very educating as it lays out the social, economic and political changes that occur in a country over time.

If you’re interested in history, you can find it in the stamps produced in periods of conflict, war or political change, as governments grapple with issues such as inflation, social issues and defeat.
There will be a raffle with extravagant prizes (!) and light refreshments are available. Budleigh Salterton has a good range of cafes, ice cream shops and fish and chip shops.
